Document review

Know what your paperwork actually supports.

What you receive

  • An English report linking findings to the records reviewed.
  • A clear distinction between consistent, conflicting and missing evidence.
  • Specific follow-up questions to put to your supplier.

We agree the supplier, product and claims to review before work begins. A document review does not certify the origin of the physical tea.

Matcha sourcing consultation

Japanese matcha supplier research for your business.

Share your destination, intended use, quantity, budget and timing. We organise a practical enquiry brief, research suitable candidates and, within an agreed scope, contact tea businesses to clarify their responses. Questions can cover specifications, minimum orders, indicative prices, availability, lead times, samples, shipping arrangements and available documents. You receive an English summary separating confirmed responses and unanswered points. Scope, fees and timing are agreed before work begins.

Producer participation, available stock, sample arrangements and export capability must be confirmed for each enquiry. We do not promise access to a particular farm or guaranteed supply.

Planning your purchase

What to ask a Japanese matcha supplier.

Matcha for cafes and tea brands

Describe how you plan to use the matcha: whisked with water, in lattes or in food. Share your sample requirements, expected order quantity, repeat-order plans and target budget so the enquiry reflects your business.

Wholesale enquiries and supplier documents

Ask about minimum order quantities (MOQ), product specifications, packaging, lead times and available records. If you need organic matcha or a specific origin, include the destination and the documents you need checked. Supplier responses and unanswered questions are recorded separately.

ONREAL provides research and enquiry support, rather than a catalogue of guaranteed stock. Discuss your Japanese matcha sourcing brief, or read our guide to ceremonial-grade matcha terminology.

Before you enquire

Japanese matcha sourcing: frequently asked questions.

What does the $450 cover?

The document-review service only, with the exact scope agreed before work begins. Matcha sourcing consultation is quoted separately. Product purchases, shipping and laboratory testing are not included.

Does a review prove that my matcha is Japanese?

No. We explain what the supplied records support and what is missing or inconsistent. Reviewing documents is not certification of the physical product’s origin.

Can you arrange tea samples?

We can discuss sample coordination as part of a sourcing enquiry. Producer agreement, availability, product costs and shipping must be confirmed. Free tea samples are not promised.

Can laboratory testing be added?

Potential testing is assessed separately. Laboratory availability, suitable methods, costs and logistics are not yet final. No testing is included in the document-review price.

What should I prepare?

For a document review, describe the supplier records and claims you want checked. For sourcing, tell us the destination, use, approximate quantity, budget and timing. Please do not send confidential files until handling arrangements are agreed.
